Deion Sanders‘ has injected a surge of excitement into the Buffaloes’ football program. Highly talented players are scheduled to visit Boulder, and Coach Prime is trying to impress them all.

The crown jewel is five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, who received a red-carpet welcome complete with a special “JuJu Burger” and chants of “We Want Juju!” This recruiting blitz extended to four-star offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden, who visited the same day. The weekend promises even more with three-star receiver Evan Hayes and four-star wide receiver Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. expected to join the guest list.

A recent Life and Football video highlights the viral nature of the Lewis’ visit. It even captures the excitement within the Colorado staff, with one member hinting at “something big has happened” – while it remains a mystery.

However, this surge in interest is quite a contrast to the Buffaloes’ past. The video acknowledges their mediocre winning record and attributes the turnaround solely to Deion Sanders’ presence. “Coach Prime comes to town, and you’ve got basically the number one quarterback in the country on campus,” the video states.

It also noted how the visitors are not just talking to the Buffs players, but the visitors are talking to each other, saying, “Hey bro, I’m thinking about coming, bro.” He also said how “they’re rolling out the red carpet,” making them feel special. “Whoever there on this visit, the red carpet is rolled out,” the speaker stressed again.

But there’s a catch. While Deion’s presence is a boon, the Buffs need to win to sustain this momentum. The video acknowledges their historical struggles, with only four winning seasons since 2000. “That’s rough,” the speaker admits. Now, the Buffaloes need wins not just to attract top recruits, but for something even bigger!

There is no doubt that Deion Sanders has turned heads in Boulder! His presence has brought more attention to the Colorado program, to an extent in which their 4-8 record surprisingly generated more criticism than their disastrous 1-11 finish the previous year. Now, in Year Two under Coach Prime, the hype is getting real. It’s not just about attracting top recruits like Julian Lewis, it’s crucial for the current Buffs too. Two key players are eyeing the NFL draft next year, and more wins would significantly boost their draft stock.

But reality bites. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter have already slipped in the Heisman race, with recent On3 rankings leaving them out of the Top 10. Historically, players on winning teams get the edge, putting extra pressure on Deion’s coaching skills. Now, the media frenzy surrounding their star recruit visits adds more hype. Can Coach Prime deliver the wins everyone expects? The pressure seems on!
