Shilo Sanders is in trouble, and things seem to be worsening for the Colorado football safety. Notably, the hatred toward the Sanders clan appears to grow. This time, Shilo is under the glare in connection with an incident from his high school days. What is this all about?

Reports suggest that security guard John Darjean suffered serious injuries, including a broken neck and severe nerve damage, from the assault by Shilo in 2015. This happened when Darjean confiscated Shilo’s cell phone while he was using it to talk to his mom, Pilar, despite restrictions regarding cell phone use on campus.

Shilo’s recent bankruptcy filing, seemingly to avoid paying $11.89 million in damages, has sent shockwaves online. This unexpected turn of events has sparked a wave of disbelief, particularly given Shilo’s reputation as one of the most flamboyant college players.

Shilo goes from being a lavish spender to a bankrupt player

Rico Knows recently criticized Shilo Sanders and resonated with the thoughts of thousands after reading the news about him. The host slams Shilo’s audacity, pointing out that Shilo recently bragged on his YouTube channel about wanting to “spend 50 grand today” on expensive clothes and jewelry.  The host argues, “If you show off online, you get every chain in the world, every piece of jewelry and you go out and brag about the $50000 you want to spend online, you can’t then say you’re bankrupt.”

Rico Knows doesn’t hold back, calling Shilo a “criminal” for assaulting someone and losing the case. He also went on to highlight the potential class difference at play. The host angrily states, “You broke somebody’s neck…over a cell phone? This is rich privilege! Rich people break the law and get away with it, but if anyone else did this, they’d be in jail.” Clearly, the situation has reignited public anger toward the Sanders family. On top of that, it also raises questions about Shilo’s NIL valuations after a “baseless” bankruptcy statement.

Despite being a rising star with endorsement deals, Shilo Sanders is now facing scrutiny over his recent actions. While his brother Shedeur is among the top NIL earners at $4.6 million, Shilo ranks 12th with $1.1 million. He has appeared in commercials for Oikos Yogurt and Actively Black clothing and has even been featured in the EA Sports college football game. He landed an acting role playing his father, Deion, on the Starz show BMF.

However, Shilo’s recent bankruptcy filing, which claims he only has $320,477 in assets, has been called into question by Darjean’s attorney, who pointed out that this valuation does not include any of Shilo’s endorsement deals. The inconsistencies in his bankruptcy claim and his seemingly extravagant lifestyle have led many to question his integrity. As Shilo aims for the 2025 NFL draft, his character is under intense scrutiny, not just his financial valuation.
