The daughter of legendary Alabama football coach Nick Saban shared a heartwarming glimpse with her dad on Instagram. Kristen Saban captured an intimate moment exposing the personal side of Saban. She posted a picture of Saban with his grandson with the caption, “Never would I have imagined that on a random Tuesday in the middle of the day, I get to hang out with my dad. Retirement is bliss.” Kristen seized the moment of her father and son participating in a leisurely activity on a golf course. 

With the latest achievement in 2020, the seven-time national champion had built the Alabama squad, and his coaching stint brought Saban six national championships. After a successful period with the Crimson Tide, the coach announced his retirement in January this year. The decision came from the Alabama’s exit from the 2023 College Football Playoff. The challenging phase marked by a 27-20 overtime loss propelled Saban to call it quits with Alabama. Hence, it has been an emotional journey for Alabama.

As the coaching icon steps away from the sidelines, he enjoys quality time with his family. Even though there have been no updates about his plans, Saban has been reported to be collaborating with ESPN for an exciting role.

Saban’s coaching career spanned over three decades with tenures at Toledo, Michigan State, and LSU and his legendary run culminated at Alabama. Kristen recounted how when the Sabans arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2007, they were met with an overwhelming welcome from the Crimson Tide fans. The family was thoroughly touched by this gesture that marked an iconic chapter in Saban’s chapter in college football history.

In an interview with WVTM 13 Sports Director, Ryan Hennessey, Kristen then opened up about the mixed emotions surrounding Saban’s departure from the coaching world. Even though it has been an emotional journey altogether, the once-busy coach is now finding joy in the simpler things. Kristen then shares a glimpse of Saban’s daily routine when spends his time playing golf and enjoying his vacation in Florida. 

Amidst Saban’s seclusion from the world of sports, ESPN came up with an interesting announcement. It has been reported that being the most decorated figure in college football, the legend is all set to join the iconic “Collge GameDay” as an analyst. Even though the news is yet to be confirmed, fans look forward to gaining addition perspectives from none other than Nick Saban.
