Shilo Sanders is doing a tremendous job as the CU Buffs safety. Making his presence known and taking the game by the scruff of the neck! His ability to read the offense’s body language and his quick moves should make the job easier for his team. However, this is not the case as the player’s tackling is now hurting the Buffaloes.
Shilo’s tactics are already facing severe consequences, especially with his latest ejection coming in just weeks earlier against the UCLA side. The 20-year-old has denied any aims for changing his attacking nature of play. He recently downplayed any chances of tweaking his natural style to complement the rest of the defenses.

Being Deion Sanders‘ son has its advantages. Being explosive on the field and outpouring of talents is a give but so are the after-effects. Shilo is still a rookie player and so is the age-factor that the players wish to show off. The safety recently took to Instagram and shared a reel with his fans for the exact play. Captioned as “refs be hating” he straightaway called out the decision-makers with another controversial play he made.

Not only this, Shilo was also keeping a close eye on the comments and replying to his followers. The safety player replied to a fan asking for a scoreboard. He remarked- “the score doesn’t determine how I play. Win or lose.” Furthermore, there was another comment that asked if the refs actually took the point from him. The player once again replied saying- “Naw they reviewed it.” There seems to be a sort of arrogance that the player carries in his plays, not understanding how he is hurting his team.

While the ejections are not doing any good for the Buffs, Shilo’s absence is hurting the side. He has a straight impact on the opposition’s offenses and they breathe a sigh of relief each time Shilo is benched. For impact, the stats point out the stark difference.
Talking only about the game against UCLA. They could score 21 out of their 28 points quite easily when no. 21 was ejected. Moreover, while Shilo was playing, the Bruins could only salvage 90 passing yards in the first half as compared to nearly double 179 in the second one. There’s a mammoth difference in the games when Shilo does represent the side and the ones where he has to sit out!

CU Buffs would have to analyze the player’s abilities and use him strategically for maximum returns for their last game of the season. With the Buffs officially out of Bowl Race, it remains to be seen what’s up for them after they’re done with that.
