With Quinn Ewers raking in NIL money, is college football becoming more about business than the game?

In today’s era, many athletes are making the decision to return to school instead of going pro as they can make NIL money. The rising star of Texas Longhorns, Quinn Ewers, did the same. Ewers joined Texas for making valuable deals and he could end up being the top pick in the 2025 NFL. The Heisman Trophy frontrunner signed a NIL agreement with a private jet company, becoming the second NCAA player to do so after Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart.

Adding Hulu leads to the extension of Ewers’ NIL deals

The star quarterback of Texas recently signed a NIL deal with Hulu, a national commercial. The full terms and valuation of that deal are yet to be disclosed, but the talented QB looks sharp in his Twitter account in bright green while promoting Hulu’s multiple features. Along with that, the national commercial has already appeared on IG and will be used throughout the year.

Not only Hulu but Ewer also tied up with Sportstars and Rubicon. Additionally, he has launched NIL deals with C4 Energy, Texas One Fund, Beats By Dre, HeyDude shoe, and so on. Most importantly, he got such opportunities depending on his excellent performance. He led the Longhorns to a College Football Playoff berth with 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns last season. Quinn has been given approximately $1.7 million NIL valuation as per On3 NIL Valuation. This is considered the No. 5 ranked college football player in the marketplace as there were Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, Jalen Milroe, and his teammate Arch Manning before him.
