It’s said every picture tells a story. But there’s one that has been getting the Oregon Ducks fans emotional since today morning. Today was another game between the Oregon Ducks and the Washington Huskies- two champion sides looking to get their noses in front! However, it was a day meant for Huskies as Oregon’s talisman was left crestfallen.

If one can pinpoint the things that went wrong for Bo Nix, there’s one that comes instantly to mind. Not much went wrong for the young QB but he just didn’t seem the player he usually was. It was as if Bo Nix was trying hard to play the character often invincible Bo Nix but it just didn’t come through. The post-match scenes saw an inconsolable Nix huddled over a towel as he tried to come to terms with the reality. It was disheartening to see the Civil War messiah overwhelmed by emotions.

While the opposition fans rejoiced and jeered along for the player. Bo Nix personally has had a great season up until this game. He has scored as many as 29 touch-downs until this game, which looked like the ultimate deal to take home the bragging rights.

Today, it wasn’t Bo’s day, he did try but in patches. He scored three touchdowns and completed 219 yards in a game that had several close moments. Nix also came in clutch with a solitary interception.  The problem he showed today was the absence of deep plays. The Huskies came well-prepared and strengthened their defenses to counter any of the Ducks’ offenses.
