Deion Sanders, the coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, shuts down Ochocinco’s requests to be a part of the team as a WR coach. The 56-year-old has been in the limelight ever since his signing with the Buffs on a 5-year contract. And after the season ended terribly for the team, he had a lot to talk about in his newest interview.
The Colorado Buffaloes finished last on the Pac-12 league table with a poor record of 4-8. While Deion certainly redefined the Colorado program as compared to last year’s record of 1-11, he failed to live up to the fans’ expectations. It’s apparent that a drastic change in the team is required, but when Ochocinco offered his resume for the job, Deion instantly refused.

On the latest episode of the ‘Nightcap’ show, Deion joined Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson as guests to talk about his season this year. But things turned south when Johnson requested to be a part of the team as a coach, and Deion hilariously denied the offer.

Deion instantly replied to Ochocinco’s request and said, “You don’t want to do that. You aren’t dedicated like that. You’re dedicated to playing, but you’re not dedicated to coaching. You ain’t like that. I would bring you in as an analyst, but you ain’t going to be in there every day. I know you!” Ocho tried to make his case yet again by raising his left hand but soon got died down by Sharpe and Deion’s laughter, which eventually settled the debate. The fans got a great kick in seeing this conversation between two of the all-time greats of football and stormed the comments with their hilarious replies, with one saying “🤣 Prime just ended his job interview.” Others chimed in, too.

A user replied by calling out Prime and saying that he’s probably selfish and doesn’t want anyone else taking over the WR coach spot.
Looks like Coach Prime wants to keep that WR coach spot all to himself. 😏🏈

Lastly, this fan chose the middle ground and said that while Ochocinco would be a good critic of the sport, coaching would definitely not be his cup of tea.
I can see him coming in once in a while to help mentor and teach. No way he’d be a able to do it full time
