Bray was a regular at the Beavers’ camp. He joined the ranks five years ago in 2018 and was roped in as the defensive coordinator. Starting from humble beginnings as a linebackers coach, he quickly ascended to the coordinator role and now, finally, as an HC.

His tenure is already showing optimistic signs of domination from the Beavers! He surely will be an asset to the team going forward. He was an automatic choice for the HC role after serving as an interim defensive coordinator for the team. The month of November brought loads of good news for the 39-year-old.

First up, starting as the defensive coordinator and finally becoming the side’s head coach. It was Jonathan Smith’s decision to promote Trent Bray to the glorious role. The new HC would be ready to marshall his troops from the sidelines and make them into a winning combination.

Bray, however, had to wait for a lengthy time for the decision to come through. He was the team’s interim DC for the final three games as the existing DC was fired. Bray took the role seriously, and his coaching provided optimal results. He was at the forefront of the Beavers having their season’s best games. As the season ended with the rivalry against the Oregon side, Bray entered a new era with the team.

With the added knowledge of Trent Bray, the team could hold their defenses together quite nicely. It withheld the offenses of Stanford and Arizona State teams, which averaged 496 yards this year. Having the defensive coordinator runs in the family as Bray’s father also held the role from 2000-2002.
