The Sanders family, including Deion, Shedeur, and Shilo, has faced a challenging season with the Colorado Buffaloes. Currently holding a disappointing 4-7 record a fair share of criticism has been placed on Shedeur. The impressive QB has been a controversial figure who’s only contributed to four wins so far. Despite their individual talents, the team’s overall performance has left fans dissatisfied, raising questions about the Sanders legacy and the team’s downfall.
Former player and sports journalist Jason Lee Whitlock, a critic of Coach Prime, had previously challenged the authenticity of the “Miracle in Boulder,” suggesting it’s a corporate and social media construct for ratings. With recent struggles and falling short of playoff eligibility have caused a serious re-evaluation of the lofty promises made by the Colorado head coach earlier on. Many prospective recruits including a a four-star quarterback, have decided to reconsider their associations with the team. As questions arise about Sanders’ ability to lead the team to the playoffs this season, Whitlock furnishes yet another hard jab at the Sanders family.

Jason Lee Whitlock has earned himself a controversial reputation. He periodically criticizes individuals from the world of the NFL on his podcast and then ritualistically promotes them on his social media handles. He had previously highlighted the media’s role in creating a larger-than-life image for Deion Sanders, suggesting they benefit from his attention-grabbing persona. However, in his recent post on platform X, formerly Twitter, Whitlock criticized the two-sport star for being biased towards his sons. “Deion only really cares about Shedeur and Shiloh,” the journalist suggested.
Anyone who watched Deion’s postgame press conference yesterday knows that Deion only really cares about Shedeur and Shiloh. Sexy Red should do a song Pee Wee about Coach Prime. #DaddyBall https://t.co/p9ymRlojhb

Regardless of the efforts put in by Coach Prime, the initial aura and buzz around him and his team has fizzled out, including the attendance and ticket sales. Shedeur might be an outstanding athlete and a record-breaking quarterback, but he too has attracted copious amounts of negative comments over his arrogance. During a match against Arizona, Shedeur faced mockery from their fans, he responded by flaunting his expensive watch, drawing criticism from the NCAA community. Shilo also joined in the display of “drip” with a gold chain upsetting Buffs fans who feel his focus is on style over scoreboard points. With the season’s tragic end, prospective new recruits have also started to steer clear of Colorado.
