Who's the real star QB—Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward? Let's settle this once and for all!

The competitive and often heated world of college football was on full display during a recent workout session in Miami involving Hurricanes’ Cam Ward and Buffs’ Shedeur Sanders. The interaction between these two talented quarterbacks has garnered a good level of attention, especially after Ward called out Sanders for taking water breaks, accusing him of not pushing hard enough. And out of all the people who could’ve commented on the incident, we got a whole rant from none other than Coach JB.

During the live stream on July 8th on The Coach JB Show with Big Smitty, Coach JB didn’t hold back his thoughts on the situation. “Cam Ward was late 40 minutes to this workout and then he wants to call out Shedeur Sanders,” JB said regarding the whole stint. Well, coming 40 minutes late and then calling one of the players out for taking a water break? That’s a low. JB went on his rant regarding trash-talking. “You shit talk when you workout, dawg, that’s what you do. He should be talking shit to Shedeur to get him better, Shedeur should be talking shit to him to get him better. This is normal shit,” he remarked. Like it or not, trash-talking gets a player in the mood. It makes that itch to win the match even bigger.

Big Smitty, the co-host, also kept his POV. “Based upon all seasons signs, both these guys should be first or second next year,” he mentioned. This brings a whole new discussion to the table. Both players are capable enough with enough good endorsements. Cam’s been on the ESPN top 10 college QB list and Shedeur’s got the he’s the best QB in the country tag given to him by Skip Bayless. However, amidst all of this, JB did bring up another amazing point. “All eyes are on Cam Ward too. Once you call out Shedeur Sanders, when you go out and lose one game or two, they’re gonna bring back this clip,” he said. Can Ward practice what he preached? Well, Buffs fans would know a lot about this.

In a solid match against the Buffs, Ward pretty much carried his team with 288 yards and 4 touchdowns. Washington went on to break their six-game losing streak while also breaking Coach Prime’s hope of winning a bowl game. Shedeur took a beating that game, getting sacked four times before leaving the game in the second quarter with a botched snap. “We’re falling short of what we’re capable of. This is tremendously disappointing,” Deion had remarked in a post-match interview regarding the performance of the team which caused them to lose 56-14.

This game stands as the biggest reminder that Ward can pull up when needed. However, should Shedeur be afraid? Well, we don’t think so. The young Sanders is amazing in his own right, but only the future games will tell who comes out on top, Cam or Shedeur.
