There are strong claims that one of the Ole Miss Rebels staffers was impersonating the Penn State fans and sharing tweets from the fan’s perspective. While it didn’t take long for the authorities to find out the real person behind the burner account, the way things have unfolded has created some controversy.

Ole Miss Staffer HC behind the Penn State fans’ parody account?

The Ole Miss Rebels are set to play against Penn State in the Peach Bowl later today. However, there was an off-the-field incident that caught the attention of fans and the media. The Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin is notorious for bringing some fun elements into the game. While the stakes are quite low for this game, Kiffin ensured that the fans and viewers were involved in this match. Going by the parody account- “WEARE_PennSt23” he poked fun at Ole Miss Rebels with his staffer- Fisher Ray behind the viral tweets.

While Kiffin tried his best to keep the fans and users guessing about the parody account. Certain giveaways made the fans figure out it was only a fake one. The quotes used in the tweets on platform X were entirely made up, while the account is relatively new and the tweets came in one after the other. Nothing stopped the HC as he continued with the fun and throwing shade at his team. This gauged even more interest from the fans and got the tweets viral in no time! However, now the culprit has been found and the recovery email now redirects to Fisher Ray! Nice tactics were used by Ray to create some interest in the game.

All about the Peach Bowl: A playoff-esque matchup

The Peach Bowl might get lost under the radar given the upcoming NCAA playoffs. But the game holds value in the 2024 12-team playoffs. It’s a great warmup for how things would look like next year with more than 10 teams going against each other in the playoffs. The Penn State Nattly Lions are going against the Ole Miss Rebels in the Peach Bowl.
