Coach Jason Brown goes off on Bo Nix as he compares him to Drake Maye in terms of his recent draft stock. The 23-year-old quarterback from the Oregon Ducks is known to be one of the top 10 QBs in the league and has had a huge impact on the Oregon program.

But when it comes to Drake Maye, he seems like a prodigy as compared to Nix. His 2023 stats have been nothing short of exceptional, with over 3,608 passing yards and 24 touchdowns. And what’s all the more amazing is that he’s only a sophomore and is only falling behind Nix by 537 passing yards. Coach JB further talked about this comparison as he addressed the ongoing NFL draft speculations.

On the latest episode of ‘The Coach JB Show with Big Smitty’, the hosts talk about the draft and compare Nix and Maye for their chances.

Coach JB said, “I think those two quarterbacks are very very similar in a lot of ways. I don’t see a lot of discrepancies in their game. One might be older with a wife and kids but the other one, the white Drake Maye is disappointing me, I’m gonna be honest.” He further talked about how Maye’s performance has started to deteriorate with time compared to Nix’s steady rise on the field. Moreover, Nix’s chances to be the higher pick in the draft seem comparably better than Maye’s, as he’s also opted out of the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
