Deion Sanders Jr. claps back—Is this the spirit Colorado Buffs need to turn their season around?

That’s what you call a perfect comeback. When there’s Deion Jr., there’s no need to worry about the Buffs’ fam, as Bucky is here to guard your honor. On July 7, Well Off Forever came up with a #ThrowbackThursday post where the channel uploaded old videos from their time at Jackson State.

And guess what? Haters took advantage of the opportunity to throw shade at Deion Sanders’ program, using their losing streak as their weapon. Here comes Bucky to point out how, at JSU, they served up a first-game flop. And the rest is history! Will Deion’s Colorado have the same future as JSU?

The Well Off Forever page took a down-the-memory-lane ride to relive some good old happy memories. The post included an array of clips, from Shedeur celebrating his big win with his teammates to the JSU squad posing with cheerleaders after bamboozling the opponents. The caption of the post read, Nothing changed.. AT ALL.. they just didn’t care when we did it amongst ourselves #ThrowbackThursday.” But oh-ho! The caption did not sit well with fans. One of them seized the bull by the horns by commenting openly.

Since the Buffs are yet to make their first entry in the win records under Coach Prime, a fan commented, “Something had changed y’all aren’t beating up on the Mississippi Valley State’s of the world no more.” How could Bucky just keep silent when his program was under fire? Deion Jr. retorted, “we lost to everybody that first year too. So naw, nothing changed.”

He is right. Deion lost his first game as a JSU coach when the Tigers fell to Alabama State Hornets 35-28 in a thrilling game three years ago. Gradually, Coach Prime boosted Jackson State’s profile and helped bring attention to the school, but he’s still blamed at every turn. While the first year has gone awry, Deion’s coaching action will now be under scrutiny, and this season marks his second year in Boulder.

Deion Sanders’ ray of hope for Buffs 2024 season

Considering the changes Coach Prime ushered into the game, he had a blast in September. But as Coach Prime admitted, “I’m judged on a different scale.” And the judgment surrounding him will not stop anytime soon. However, all the scrutiny is legit. Deion’s coaching consists of many loopholes that need serious attention and are yet to attain perfection.

Stepping into the 2024 season with a six-game losing streak was enough for the haters to showcase doubts. Even though the Buffs HC might seek refuge in his records, helping JSU with 27-6, it’s nothing but a fool’s task. Resurrecting a moribund Power Five needs a distinct set of strategies altogether.

Not to worry, Buffs fans! Coach Prime has everything sorted as he lands a big promise for the big question: Why will Colorado be better in 2024? In Deion’s eyes, the Colorado offensive line has hit an upgrade button. The defensive line coaches demand that they unleash the maximum potential of the players.

In addition, the 159 years’ worth of NFL experience on the coaching roster is expected to sprinkle fairy dust on the Buffs’ current scenario. Unfortunately, Deion did not have this chance back at JSU, which compromised his position as a head coach multiple times.
