Shedeur Sanders is a name that goes around like hotcakes in the world of college football. Whether it be his controversial social media feuds or the predictions about his NFL Draft, Shedeur lives in the minds of the haters and the fans alike, both rent-free and incessantly. This time, the fans were a bit too touchy about the fact that Shedeur was compared to an NFL QB, despite being a talented player himself.
Shedeur Sanders, the QB for the Colorado Buffaloes, gave a spectacular performance in the 2023 season despite the team ranking at the bottom of the Big-12 league. He recorded over 3,230 passing yards and finished a staggering amount of 27 touchdowns with just 3 interceptions. Now that he’s touted to be a top-2 pick by none other than ESPN, the stakes have never been higher for the QB and he might just go above and beyond to ensure he lives up to them. For now, he is being compared to the likes of Geno Smith, which knowing the reputation of Shedeur, didn’t sit right with the football community and they let loose their arrows of hate.

If Shedeur doesn’t get rid of the ball quicker, he’s not going to have an NFL career….
— Chris E (@SPathf1nder1) July 5, 2024
One fan mentioned how Colorado’s poor defense could lead to a fatal injury for the QB, which could result in a career end for him before he ever reaches the gates of the NFL. Chris E wrote, “If Shedeur doesn’t get rid of the ball quicker, he’s not going to have an NFL career….” Thus, though Shedeur has great signs of a generational QB, he is yet to make his mark on the gridiron and lead his team to glory. I think the Colorado offense put too much mental fatigue on Shedeur by playing way too much RPO’s
— Mike Poland (@kenfigkowboy) July 5, 2024
Starting off with Mike Poland’s tweet, he didn’t really have negativity for Shedeur but he did claim that the Colorado team atmosphere is possibly burdening for the quarterback. His tweet read, “I think the Colorado offense put too much mental fatigue on Shedeur by playing way too much RPO’s”

Did some summer scouting on a bunch of the top QB prospects for this upcoming draft class a couple of weeks ago and personally I’m not the biggest believer in Shedeur, imo he doesn’t possess NFL franchise QB traits. My QB5 https://t.co/vhESrkVIcP

@karlis_alex didn’t really torment Shedeur with his comment and furthermore, mentioned him as his 5th QB. Additionally, he doesn’t seem to believe that Shedeur is NFL-worthy and said, “Did some summer scouting on a bunch of the top QB prospects for this upcoming draft class a couple of weeks ago and personally I’m not the biggest believer in Shedeur, imo he doesn’t possess NFL franchise QB traits. My QB5”
Thus, it is quite obvious that Shedeur doesn’t really come off as anyone’s current favorite QB at the moment but if this season were to go his way, he could end up changing the tide and revamping his entire reputation.
