The social media beef just keeps digging a deeper hole for Deion Sanders and his Buffaloes. When both Deion and his son Shedeur were part of an ongoing back-and-forth with fans over the release of Xavier Smith, a lot of eyebrows were raised over the duo’s attitude, something which got called out by Deion’s own friend recently.
Cormani McClain, the former cornerback for the Colorado Buffaloes, announced his exit from the team over issues with Deion and his coaching program. In a later interview, he revealed how the team’s performance felt like they valued “clicks” over actual football, which was one reason for his exit. This prompted both Shedeur and Deion to go after Cormani and even his mother. Now, he is being labeled as a bully since the entire incident puts Coach Prime in a very bad light.

Smith said, “The issue that I have with this is these are just unnecessary things. Like if you go out there and you say, “Hey, we’re going to be really f****** good in the fall and have that type of ego, that’s one thing. You’re going after like random parents on Twitter. It’s like, “Where’s your son going to go?” There’s just no need to do it but then I set back like, Deion is Deion. He’s always been this way, he’s always been outspoken. The problem is, if you then go follow it up with another subpar season, everything that you did built positive, goes away to me.”
Thus, the coach was called out for his treatment of McClain and also insinuated that he should be a better coach altogether since CU has such a massive following. As for McClain, the youngster seems to be doing well for himself since he already has several colleges trying to sign him.
