Is Alabama's NFL dominance proof that Nick Saban is the greatest college football coach of all time?

Nick Saban’s quarterbacks are something special. From current Alabama QB Jalen Milroe to former ones, Saban’s coaching has consistently produced top talent. Even after Saban retired earlier this year, his legacy lives on through the players he developed.

Now Tua Tagovailoa’s recent four-year, $212.4 million contract extension with the Miami Dolphins is just the latest proof of Saban’s coaching magic. This deal guarantees a huge $7.1 million, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL. The excited Tua even spoke to the press, saying, “It was very special. I don’t know how it ended up leaking.” He even joked about waiting anxiously for the official announcement.

Now, it’s a huge deal, not just for Tua, but for Alabama too. With this extension, the combined earnings of all 78 active Alabama players in the NFL now stand at a massive $539 million. And that’s again a whopping $184 million more than LSU, who stands second.

These are some crazy numbers up there for Alabama. Now Tua’s contract also includes incentives that could push his annual salary to $55.35 million. This, in a way, shows the insane amount of money being thrown around in the NFL. Thus, it’s a new era of player salaries, and it looks like even Jalen Milroe could achieve similar success when he enters the NFL.

Well, he’s already been gaining media attention and boosting his draft stocks lately. Thus he can too pull off Tua’s feat soon!

Jalen Milroe is the next big QB from Alabama

Is Alabama's NFL dominance proof that Nick Saban is the greatest college football coach of all time?

Have an interesting take?

Jalen Milroe is already making waves after leading his team to an SEC championship and a close call in the national title game. He’s oozing confidence and has big plans for the upcoming season. “We’re going to let that drive us this year,” he said, referring to the close loss. He’s even setting his sights on a national championship this time under new HC Kalen DeBoer. Milroe’s confidence made him the star of the day as he gave interviews to every major sports media outlet, from CBS Mornings to ESPN First Take. Pointing that, Alabama staff writer Mike Rodak even said, “Not too many players that really have that brand power.” It’s clear that Milroe is becoming the face of the Alabama brand!

Last year, he was a top player, finishing sixth in the Heisman votes. This year, he’s even better and could win the whole thing and experts are already raving that he’ll be the number one pick in the next NFL draft. That’s a big deal, especially since other quarterbacks like Carson Beck and Shedeur Sanders were seen as favorites before.

Now, if Tua Tagovailoa’s recent mega-deal is any indication, Milroe could be in for an even bigger payday when he enters the NFL.
