Recently, the decorated HC revealed the flip side of the coin. When one is a head coach for the side, it comes with loads of sacrifices. Saban made a guest appearance on the Pat McAfee Show and detailed the challenges that lie in a coach’s life. As per Saban, sometimes rules need to be broken for a team’s success, and other times sacrifices must be made. It was a different perspective explained by perhaps one of the greatest in the NCAA. Behind all those loud noises, chattering, frustrations, and happiness, there lies a labyrinth of challenges that a coach must deal with regularly.

Nick Saban enjoys an imperious 198-28 record in his coaching career. He has crafted a great legacy in the NCAA for being a legendary coach. Saban bared it all on his recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. When asked from Pat that whether the coach gets a day off after the game and the same during the festivals, Nick proceeded ahead with the nitty-gritty. “Every day, we don’t take Sundays off so um not during the season at least. Uh, that’s probably the most challenging day for you as a college coach.”

The HC role comes with a different set of challenges and is a full-time job. There are no brakes whatsoever as implied by Nick himself. Then comes the analysis part; after every game the HC needs to analyze the game, make changes, and provide corrections to the team members. So from Monday, the day after the NCAA match to the next incoming game, the schedule for an HC is packed! He also revealed a hilarious take on how he cleaned up his language to avoid using swear words.

Nick Saban’s unique idea to minimize swearing during meetings

Anyone who’s followed Alabama’s HC closely knows that the HC uses loads of swear words. However, of late his language has more or less gone better with the avoidance of profanity. This has been possible due to a brilliant idea.

Saban is known for pushing his players to near perfection and sometimes goes overboard with his language. He now puts $5 in an exclusive swear jar each time he uses NSFW language in his meetings. As per the coach, the jar is “costing him” but the plan seems to be working well!
