Considering that FSU ended the season with a better record than 12-1 Alabama, it is this head coach Nick Saban who has to receive all the trolls. In a recent discussion on The Pat McAfee Show on YouTube, the 72-year-old expresses his raw opinions on the trolls he’s been receiving. He said, “My phone’s been getting blown up from people who didn’t get in. As if I’m responsible for that.”
Nick Saban understands that this is a unique season and there are “lots of teams who could make an argument to say we should be there” for the playoffs. Recently, he also said that he receives over “250 anonymous callers” who say that Alabama shouldn’t be in the Playoffs. He commented, “So we still have naysayers out there. We still have players who don’t believe in us.”
Even though he’s faced with criticism over something he has no control over, Nick Saban remains determined. He’s on his way to prove his naysayers wrong at the upcoming Rose Bowl.

The Alabama Crimson Tide placed over the undefeated FSU to earn the fourth and final spot in the CFP. Alabama completed the season with just one loss to one of the four CFP contenders, the 12-1 Texas Longhorns, with 5,215 total yards and 56 touchdowns.
Amidst these judgments, Nick Saban is hyping his team towards the upcoming Rose Bowl against the undefeated Michigan Wolverines on January 1 at 3 PM. He admitted that with all these criticisms, he and his players have something to prove, saying, “I think our team still has a lot to prove you know there’s a lot of naysayers out there that think we shouldn’t have gotten playoffs so you know we have an opportunity.”
