Yet another drama. “Crime Culture” is something that was brought up when Kirby Smart was accused of not paying enough attention to what his staff members and players were up to in the Bulldogs. Now the next target for the public hazing is Coach Prime himself. Deion’s image has been dragged through the mud due to the recent revelations about Jordan Seaton and how he was forced to engage in a fistfight with another former CU lineman to prove his manhood. While Coach Prime himself has yet to make any comments, a journalist has come out to defend him.

DNVR reporter Jake Schwanitz took to X on August 4th to address the entire drama. “The funny thing about hit pieces on Coach Prime and CU is it’s always people I’ve never seen in Boulder or met in my life,” Schwanitz wrote on X. Jake’s take was that the entire issue was being pointed out by people who are not even connected with CU anymore. Is it true? Well, back in June we saw Paul Finebaum take a cheap shot at Deion Sanders. “Hе’s a Hollywood crеatеd cеlеbrity,” Finebaum had mentioned during the McElroy podcast. While it is true that Coach Prime has relied heavily on his ability to market to make Colorado one of the fun programs to watch, you cannot deny the fact that this marketing has helped the program. He was able to attract top talent Travis Hunter just because of his “Prime Time” persona. Coach Prime also made CU a $200+ million program.

While it is true that the recent allegations regarding the locker room bullying issue is something serious. Jake brings out a solid point when he mentions that the media outlets never cover the perspectives of players who are currently with the program. There has been rarely any instance where any current player or staff from the Buffs has come out to expose any problems inside the program. Even Uncle Neely had explained back on June 17th that Deion Sanders pays a lot of attention to the program. “So this dude is a hands-on leader,” Neely had said. While we wait for Deion’s statement, Jordan Seaton’s situation ain’t the only one that has come to light.

Chaotic culture

“It’s like a real-life Grand Theft Auto video game,” a former CU player had mentioned. Apparently, there were too many fights in the locker room, along with guns being put on display and money floating around back in the locker room. Another claim highlighted that 5-star Cormani McClain was getting a lot of heat from Shilo Sanders. “Cormani was getting bullied by Shilo,” a former player stated.

This all started after the Oregon State game, and Shilo had allegedly hit McClain multiple times. Even back in July 2023, DB Ebenezer Bouzi was arrested because he was allegedly caught forcing a girl who was around 15-17. These incidents blow a hole in Coach Prime’s leadership and image. Let’s hope Deion has a solid statement prepped for it all.
