Things do not seem to look good for Deion Sanders’ daughter Shelomi. The basketball player had hit a career-low while in the Colorado Buffaloes. This time the worry has shifted from her professional life to her health. As the prodigy is on her way to making her Alabama A&M journey a huge hit, she is diligently working towards her goal. From one of her practice sessions, Shelomi shared a picture on Instagram.

Instead of being happy, the fans started to worry after carefully scrutinizing the picture. The reason behind their worry is a small device attached to Shelomi that indicates that she is undergoing some health issues. 

Shelomi’s new gear, a glucose monitor spotted 

Deion Sanders’ daughter Shelomi has turned out to be one rebellious kid. Till now, Coach Prime was the only person who decided the career for his kids, Shedeur and Shilo being the greatest examples. Initially, the basketball star followed her father to wherever he went, first to Jackson State and then to the University of Colorado, but this time she chose to do it her way. 

After a disappointing season with the Buffaloes’ basketball program, Deion Sanders’ Shelomi aka Bossy without any consultation with Coach Prime, committed herself to the transfer portal. Shelomi in a way decided to stand out of his father and brother’s shadow. Even though she wishes to be a trailblazer by committing herself to Alabama A&M, there seems to be a huge roadblock laid by her supposedly deteriorating health.

As she posts holding a basketball, a glucose monitor is seen attached to her left leg. Going by the sources, the Division 1 basketball player has been living with type 1 diabetes. This has been no secret as earlier Shelomi had shared her battle against diabetes on Instagram as she wrote, “[Diabetes] takes a toll mentally……you get no days off with this stuff.” While the basketball prodigy is considered strong enough in her ability to fight back against the disease, fans share their reactions.  

Worried fans come together raising concerns for Shelomi’s health

It’s very difficult to move past the critical eyes of the fans. As much as Deion Sanders is popular among the fans, his kids also concern the admirers. From the picture that Shelomi posted, a fan raised genuine concern asking a serious question, “Is Bossy’s diabetes getting worse? She is wearing two monitors now!” Another fan seems to have a deep knowledge of the monitoring system and distinguishes between two systems, “one is the Omnipod. It is the insulin delivery system she uses. The other is her Dexcom. It is her continuous glucose monitor. They communicate with each other to help her manage her diabetes. Both are fantastic systems for diabetics.”

Like Shelomi has swapped teams for betterment, she has also introduced positive changes healthwise by improving the tracking system, “Love the diabetes technology!” “i’d never let u run out of insulin”, a fan came up with a sweet promise. 

No matter how hard diabetes tries to bog Bossy down, she is far and away the best hooper in the Sanders family. It is now to be seen how Shelomi overcomes her physical and mental battles to soar high in Alabama A&M.
