Jason Whitlock is at it again! Just days after Skip Bayless showed his support for the Colorado Buffaloes, Whitlock dropped his stinging take about the Buffaloes’ head coach, Deion Sanders. After blasting Sanders the entire year, he did so once again.
With the Buffs’ loss to Washington State, they are officially out of the race for the LA Bowl. Whitlock took to platform X as he raised questions about the Buffaloes’ HC tactics and his strategies this year. “Just the obsession with his son and the padding up of his son’s stats.”?He fired at the coach for allegedly favoring his son Shedeur throughout the season.
He also highlighted how Sanders pushed him for the Heisman Trophy, saying, “He sacrificed everything trying to put his son in the Heisman race! Putting his son’s health in danger.”?It’s true that Shedeur took several hits on his body as the season progressed.

Whitlock also lambasted Sanders’ offensive strategy, saying “Anyone with a football IQ over 10 could see” that Sanders’ obsession with Shedeur’s stats didn’t let the rest of his offensive line develop and mature. With all this, the columnist hurled other accusations at the celebrated football coach.

Interestingly, just a few days ago, Bayless showed his support for the Buffaloes’ head coach. On X (Twitter), he wrote, “Deion doubters: Enjoy this while you can.” He believes the Buffs will be back stronger in 2024. Bayless has never been remiss in supporting the coach. Back in August, he had commented, “My Ultimate Dream would be for Deion Sanders to coach my Dallas Cowboys because it feels like he was born to coach my Dallas Cowboys,”?during an episode of ‘The Undisputed’.
While the Buffs initially seemed very promising, their poor record this season has once again cast shadows of doubt. After starting the season 3-0, the team lost seven of its last eight games. Amidst all this, Bayless also claimed Sanders deserved a $100 million contract. With criticism coming from several ends, it seems like a big claim to make.

The first season at the Boulder with Deion Sanders taking the reins promised a lot, but things soon fell apart. What once looked like a fairytale season for the Buffs, turned into a nightmare, as they had to deal with loss after loss. With another straight loss against the Cougars, the flat-out criticism keeps on bothering the Colorado camp. They went down 42-7 against the Washington State Cougars.
Recently, there was a rumor that there was a rift between the head coach and the players. Fans aren’t happy with the lack of wins and the season the side promised in the earlier games. For Sanders, it was another low as his side failed to turn up in the second half of the season. Several fans even took to social media to have their say on the turn of events. The redemption that the Buffs were looking for seems in jeopardy.
