It’s time for Deion Sanders to celebrate something beyond football. Courtesy goes to LeBron “King” James for giving the Colorado Buffaloes head coach a reason to celebrate outside his mentorship duties. All of us are aware of the bond that the NBA Star and the Buffs HC share, which also inspired James to take inspiration from their friendship and launch a pair of sneakers that pays tribute to his very own Deion.

The “Primes” Nike Air DT’96 sneakers were the star of the show at one of his NBA tussles. This was not the end, as the basketball giant took an extra step to strengthen their bond by keeping Sanders’ five-word request. Wondering what might be the reason?

To Week 25 in the NBA, which took place in April, players brought flashy and vintage on-court kicks. However, James, being James, chose a unique way to pay homage to Deion. The basketball giant debuted the Nike LeBron 21 in the “Prime Year” colorway, which was a direct tribute to Deion Sanders and his retro signature sneakers. They have come closer with Sanders and James’s lines of shoes representing Nike. The last time James was spotted flaunting the “Primes,” the Buffs HC was left thrilled. As he thanked King James, he did have a small request. The five-word appeal read, “I need that basketball version.”

The time has arrived for Deion Sanders to bask in his wish fulfillment. His latest Instagram post shows Coach Prime flaunting the “Primes” in the make of basketball shoes as the caption read, “I appreciate you @kingjames.” In the video, Deion Sanders says, “It’s the LeBron Prime version. I appreciate you bro.” Coach Prime can’t keep calm while he receives a gift from James; earlier, his son, Shedeur, got lucky.

James’ gift of appreciation from Shedeur

On one such occasion, Shedeur Sanders became the center of attention as he entered the locker room. Carrying bright yellow sneakers in his hand, little did his teammates expect what would transpire next. Mistaking for the quarterback’s latest purchase, they were suddenly taken aback as Shedeur revealed the truth. The Buffs quarterback sensation just got lucky to receive a pair of LeBron’s signature sneakers, whose value had been $200. Along with the sneakers came a signed jersey worth $119. Even though the gift package was worth $319 to the young athlete and the self-proclaimed King James fan, it will always be a priceless token of admiration.

This left his teammates anything but envious of him to see Shedeur be the proud owner of the Lakers’ jersey. In a mix of awe and excitement, Colorado’s OL Jordan Seaton exclaimed, “For real? That’s sick.” The next attempt he made was to pull Shedeur’s leg by planning to take away the sneakers from him as he asked the QB, “I am a fan. I want to know too. I just want to know what size he wears bro.”

Meanwhile, Deion Sanders was fortunate enough to find someone as close as LeBron James, who flaunts his “Prime,” which is an integral part of his legacy. Now that the basketball version is here, will we witness a cross-sport collaboration between Prime’s “baddest shoe and King James’ signature line?
