Shedeur Sanders has created a historical identity by clinching the touted No.1 spot in the NIL valuation graph, per ON3. Formerly, LeBron James’s son, Bronny James stood tall and proud on this pedestal. Per the updated rankings, however, both James and Sanders’s valuation stands at $4.7 million.

Colorado’s QB Shedeur had long been acquiring the second spot on ON3’s NIL valuation list, waiting for a big thrust in his NIL valuation or a downward slope in Bronny James’s valuation. The latter proved to be true, as James’ NIL graphs witnessed a negative 5% decline, bringing his valuation down by almost $0.26 million this week, whereas Shedeur Sanders’s graph saw an increase of 1%.

All this, thanks to Deion Sanders cultivating Shedeur Sanders’ Name, Image, and Likeness value while rejuvenating Colorado’s popularity. Mastermind Prime made himself, his team, his college, and most importantly his sons the face of CFB.

Well, who is to blame? Especially when Shedeur Sanders has top brands like Google, Beats by Dr. Dre, Under Armour, Oikos, Actively Black, Gatorade, and Brady under his belt. Shedeur has actively worked for commercials for several of these teams, making him one of the most followed faces in college football. Not to mention, his recent advertisement with brother Shilo for Google Chromebook created waves among the fans.

However, Bronny James’s advertisement with Google about its latest intriguing feature proved to be the perfect competition for it. Even though Bronny James‘ NIL deals tumbled downhill this week, the battle between Sanders and him has been going on for quite some time.

The battle of No.1 position

While Shedeur Sanders has just taken over the first position in NIL valuation, the back-and-forth battle between Shedeur Sanders and Bronny James has been a constant discussion in NIL valuation terms. With the $93k dip and the sudden thrust in his fame when he appeared in the latest intriguing feature of Google, Bronny James went through one hell of a roller coaster. Shedeur Sanders, on the other hand, witnessed a comparatively smooth rise with his family advertisement with KFC and later for Oikos and Gatorade.

Surely, their bloodline did its part in contributing to this value, but it’s not solely that. Another bloodline heir of football, Arch Manning, is not even in the top 3 of the list. Moreover, Bronny James being projected as the second-round draft pick, instead of a first-round pick as he was originally projected in the 2024 NBA Draft by ESPN.
