Can Warren Sapp out-fish Deion Sanders and Travis Hunter, or is he all talk and no catch?

If you’re a follower of Deion Sanders and the daily updates, he provides for his 5 million fans, you will know that he is an ardent fan of fishing so much so, that it has even landed him in trouble with the authorities in the past. When it comes to Christmas holidays or any other occasion, he even invites other Colorado players like Travis Hunter to join him and yet, it looks like newbie Warren Sapp has bested them all single-handedly.

Deion Sanders, the HC for the Colorado Buffaloes, has his pond attached to the back of his house where he can fish at his heart’s desire. What’s also interesting to note is the fact that Deion doesn’t really catch fish to eat them but instead, catches them and later unhooks them and releases them back into the water. Although different from the regular practice of fishing, it comes off as an environmentalist’s approach. However, even with his years of practice and experience, Deion could never catch a fish as big as the one that Warren Sapp recently caught.

On 6th July, Deion took to Instagram to share a clip of his dear friend, Warren Sapp, making the catch of the day with a massive fish, which was supposedly Coach Prime’s dream fish, and yet, QBK ended up bagging it. Though Sapp isn’t a big fisher himself, his stroke of beginner’s luck definitely helped him out.

The video posted by Coach Prime saw Sapp valiantly showing off his catch, which looked to be a massive peacock bass fish. Sapp was happily heard saying, “That’s a monster right there! Where ya at, Travis? Ya’ll say I don’t fish on the bank? Yeah, I do!” Moreover, Deion’s caption expressed a subtle tone of envy with Sapp’s fish and said, “I hadn’t caught my DREAMBASS THE PEACOCK BASS, but @warrensapp has! I’m having a great time catching baby!!! #BassiePrime FLORIDA FISHING.” Thus, by showing the fish off right in Deion’s face and also taunting Travis with it, Sapp has surely impressed everyone with his fishing skills. While lady luck has preferred Sapp in his fishing adventures alongside Deion, she surely turned her head in 2016 when the HoF was out lobster fishing on a charter boat.

Have an interesting take?

A charter boat company, Two Conchs Charters, based out of Marathon, Florida, posted the update on how Sapp was attacked by a shark that bit a part of his arm. The QBK was out lobster fishing when an unexpected attack from a hungry shark made its mark. Though the Bucs’ legend wasn’t too hurt, it did come off as a shock to his fans to read the words ‘shark attack’ right next to his name.

As per the Charter captain, Jack Carlson, the situation wasn’t too drastic and Sapp escaped unharmed while trying to fish for lobsters. He said, “It’s simple. He was lobstering with me and a shark bit Sapp while he was grabbing the lobster. He’s OK.” Later, Sapp went on to post more pictures of the fish he caught, which went on to prove that the incident didn’t really disrupt the activities of his evening. Sapp does seem to have a passion for the ocean and fishing. He sure tends to draw in the giants of the aquatic kingdom.
