The 2023 NCAA season is fast reaching its end. The teams are getting ready for their playoff and designated Bowl matches. Amidst all the on-field action and exhilaration, there is anticipation for the Heisman Trophy winner. The Heisman Trophy is one of the most prestigious awards in the college football arena.

Robert Griffin III joined the panel of members who selected the Trophy winner on December 10th. He shed light on the importance of the Heisman Trophy and the winner in a moving post on X. Griffin himself was a Heisman champion back in 2011, so who better than him to select the next winner?

Years after saying goodbye to the gridiron, the former QB has now joined another team! This time, Robert Griffin III will be on the other side of the field as he selects the Heisman Trophy winner with other panelists. He took to platform X to share his appreciation of the other panelists and highlighted his happiness for the same. Robert pointed out that the Heisman is “more than just a trophy, it’s a family.”

Griffin was all smiles as he was snapped along with other panel members to choose the winner. It’s a day of great joy and one of his milestones as the ex-Ravens player gets the revered role.

In addition to Griffin, the 2023 Heisman selection panel also includes Dave Campbell from the Waco-Tribune Herald, Dick Weiss from the Blue Star Media/NY Daily News, Don Criqui from CBS Sports, Bob Hammond from Laramie Boomerang/WyoSports.Net, Bob Hammel from The Herald Times, and Lee Corso from ESPN. Now they have to do the challenging task of selecting the deserved candidate to take home the trophy.

Robert Griffin has voiced the opinion of his favorite to make the Heisman honors. While several players have been in great form this year, according to him, there’s one player that reigns supreme- Jayden Daniels, the rookie QB for the LSU Tigers.

It’s a mammoth prediction that comes with some significant performances. While speaking on SiriusXM’s “Off Campus,” podcast, Griffin pushed forward with Daniels’ prediction. He said, “Listen, I called three Jaden Daniels games, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Texas A&M, to close out the year. And there is no doubt in my mind that he is the most electrifying player in all of college football. The thing that sets him apart from the other two QBs is what he did on the ground. Right, having 1000 yards rushing, 10 touchdowns, that is what pushes it over the top.”
