Chipping his contribution to commemorate Brady’s day, Eli Manning released a special message for the football legend Tom Brady. But, when there’s Eli Manning, there’s a catch. This time, Manning came up with an idea to pull Brady’s legs and praise his 22 seasons of stupendous performance at once in the NFL, along with his two years as a varsity baseball player. What started with heaps of praise ended up in a burning roast of Tom Brady.
It all started when Maichel Rubin, the owner of Fanatics Collectibles, was launching a Topps 2023 Bowman Draft trading card set featuring the G.O.A.T.’s first-ever baseball card, also honoring his jersey number in the process (12/12). With this, the hype around Brady Day skyrocketed, as players and coaches across the internet started tagging Brady in their messages, wondering a world where Brady chose baseball over football.

While everyone was busy sharing their take on Brady choosing baseball, Manning bragged about his rings. Manning was a former QB for the Giants, while Brady was the QB of their historic rivals, the Patriots, along with a player of the Montreal Expos for two years. While the Patriots and the Giants shared a mammoth rivalry in football, in the alternate world that fans created, a similar story emerged in baseball as well.
Manning teased Brady on Brady’s day with his two rings, referring to the two Super Bowl losses Brady had against the Giants, along with the two Super Bowl rings that Manning won. Moreover, it was also a reference to the San Francisco Giants, the MLB team. But Brady, being his usual funny self, replied, “Alright, I’m not having fun anymore. I want to talk to the manager,” with a laughing emoji to ease the tension.
