Sanders family loves to flaunt its style. Only last week, we saw the three Sanders brothers show off their custom pickups, including the one belonging to Coach Prime. Now they are back with something new to show off. Hint- it has got something to do with Deion Sanders.

Its back to the future for Deion Sanders with his Air DT Max ’96. The kicks are a throwback from the 1990s that he made popular during his heyday on the gridiron as a DB for the Atlanta Falcons. The line of sneakers has now been reintroduced. The Buffs HC didn’t promote the shoes alone, as he had his millionaire son, Deion Sanders Jr., as well as Shedeur and Shilo, who joined in on the family portrait on Instagram, brandishing the custom sneakers.

The shoes, which are also nicknamed Varsity Maize, are valued at $170 a pair and made out for Deion Sanders specifically. In an Instagram post shared by Deion Sanders Jr. on 14 June, we can see all four men of the Sanders clan posing in all-black with the signature Nike shoes on display.

In one of the pictures, Deion Sanders Jr. posed with the shoes while sitting atop the famous “Coach Prime” $556,942 worth, Lamborghini Aventador. The post drew attention from Deion himself and he commented, “Go get them son.

Shilo Sanders also shared the same images on his Instagram, with some solo clicks of himself, as the family promoted their latest grand venture.

The “Prime Effect” was in full force as the shoes sold out within minutes of their release. This comes after a “shock drop” sellout during Super Bowl weekend. Earlier in January, Coach Prime first offered a glimpse of the Air DT Max ’96, Varsity Maize. There were also two exclusive drops in Boulder and Atlanta before April’s Spring Game.

Sanders also shared his delight at his signature shoes getting sold out in no time. Taking to X, he posted a picture of the photoshoot along with his sons and added the caption, “They said “I Sold Out”, they must’ve been talking bout my shoes!” The Varsity Maize is the first in the line of planned releases as Sanders and Nike solidify their partnership.

There are four Diamond Turf 3 colorways, along with Nike Air Diamond Turf 1’s set for release. On 2 June, in a video released by Well Off Media, Sanders shared a Nike Air Diamond Turf Max, inspired by CU’s home uniform with gold spikes and a white base. An interesting detail of this shoe is a graphic of Sanders’ face, visible through the heel of the outsole.

Well, it is not only the Buffs HC, who is getting customized versions of something he loves. Last week, the Well Off Media, shared a video, where his sons arrived at Truck Ranch and exhibited their love for pick up trucks.

Deion Sanders Jr. showed off his Ford F150 Raptor customized with a Well Off logo. Shedeur had a black and neon green Dodge Ram 1500TRX with the word “Legendary,” printed in green on the doors. Shilo was not far off as well and had a sleek matte black and gold Dodge Ram truck.

Sanders Jr., whose net worth stands at $5 million, also revealed a custom Jeep Rubicon belonging to their father, which he helped customize. The Jeep was embossed in the Buffs’ colors with the words “Prime Wrangler” on the door and Coach Prime’s jersey number (21) engraved with the phrase.

Coming to the launch of Air DT Max ’96, a grateful Deion posted on Instagram thanked people for their support and promised there was more to come. “Thank you EVERYONE that supported us and purchased our shoes & apparel thru @nike @usnikefootball. We love u and truly appreciate u. We’re working on youth sizes as I text u. We’re just getting started, i can’t wait till u see the other color waves & styles that’s coming,” he wrote.

With all that said, back in February, NBA legend LeBron James also chose to pay tribute to Deion Sanders by wearing a new version of his LeBron 21 sneakers.

LeBron James honored Coach Prime at the All-Star game

LeBron James wore a new version of the LeBron 21 at the 2024 NBA All-Star game. The reason? None other than Coach Prime himself. The sneakers had the same claw mark striping found on the Sanders’s Air DT Max ’96. It featured the same white and black color scheme with gold accents Deion used to don the number 21 jersey during his days as an NFL defender. James was also marking his 21st season in the NBA.

In a pregame video posted by NBA Kicks, James was heard saying, “Right here, these are LeBron 21 mixed with the prime Deion.” James has long been an ardent Coach Prime fan and a supporter of his career, and thus, the shoe came as a sign of his homage to the NFL legend.

The response to Deion Sanders’s latest launch has been phenomenal. This promises to be the beginning of an exciting journey for Coach Prime and his fans.
