Home/NFL

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are running multiple races at once! The one towards redemption for their previous season’s 4-8 score, while securing a spot in the top 5 picks in the 2025 NFL draft per the prediction of Deion Sanders. And the one to secure full-fledged supremacy of the football division of the NCAA on the NIL valuation list. They sure have several hurdles holding them back from achieving the first two. However, just one person is stopping them from establishing their dominance on the NIL valuation list. Olivia Dunne.

Per the list released by ON3 on 7th June, 4 of the top 5 coveted spots on their NIL valuation list are held by the top stars of college football. One former star of college gymnastics, Olivia Dunne, is becoming the thorn in CFB’s flesh to secure all top 10 spots on the list. Dunne, who announced her retirement from the competition back in March 2024, is still ranked 2nd on the ON3s list with her $3.9 million NIL valuation.

Shedeur Sanders is leading the board with his $4.6 million valuation, whereas Travis Hunter is in the 3rd spot with his $2.7 million valuation. Texas’ Arch Manning, with his $2.4 million NIL valuation, takes up the 4th spot and Quinn Ewers is at the 5th with a $1.9 million valuation. Bronny James, who was leading the NIL valuation scoreboard at the beginning of 2024, is nowhere to be seen near the top 5 picks. Not even the top 10. Just how fast the night changes. However, it is not just Bronny James alone who has faced the wrath of NIL over the past year.

Shedeur Sanders’ NIL valuation takes a hit

Shedeur Sanders, the top NIL valued player, has also survived a steep decline. In the later months of 2023, Shedeur Sanders’s NIL deals were valued at $4.8 million while sitting on the second spot on the board then. The highest NIL valuation of 2023 was around $6.2 million of Bronny James. This clearly shows that the NIL valuation has suffered a steep decline for one year.

A reason for this can be the top faces of the NCAA, like Caitlin Clark and Caleb Williams leaving the NCAA in 2024. Another reason can be the repeated hits Shedeur Sanders’ reputation has taken following his team’s 4-8 record, plus the hits his draft stock has been taking. If Shedeur Sanders’ NIL valuation faces further decline and goes below the mark of $4 million, Livvy would easily be enthroned as the ‘Queen’ of the NIL scoreboard at #1.
