To say Texas A&M is nothing less than chaotic would be an understatement. From firing the head coach, who has been there with the team for the past 6 seasons, and hiring their ex-defensive coordinator, to players shifting to other teams, everything seems like a mess. However, the authorities handled it pretty decently, despite facing several hurtful rejections from the top head coaches around the conference for the position.
Now will be a true test of their management ability, especially of the newly hired coach Mike Elko, as some of the best players are making their way to exit the team. First, it was WR Raymond Cottrell among a few other players who entered the Transfer portal. Now it is their star player.

Max Johnson dials up the transfer portal
The Texas A&M QB, Max Johnson, announced on Sunday that he would be entering the transfer portal as a graduate. However, this will not be the first transfer that Johnson will be undergoing. The QB was originally with the LSU Tigers for his freshman and sophomore years in 2020 and 2021. However, in each season, the Tigers performed averagely, with a 5-5 in the 2020-21 season, and an embarrassing 6-7 in 2021-22, with Jonson leading as the starting QB for the 2021-22 season, and most of 2020-21 season.

On the other hand, with the Aggies, the QB gained a few years of experience. In his two years with Texas, the QB has raked in 2000-plus yards with 12 TDs. Speaking of this season, Max Johnson bagged a total of 1452 yards, with 6 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, with a completion percentage of 62.1%, his personal best yet.

Although the QB seems to have a sour relationship with his injuries, as during this season, Johnson was rotated out of the starting QB lineup after the Aggies’ week 9 showdown against Ole Miss, owing to an undisclosed injury. Moreover, during the last season, the QB could play for only 4 games due to his career-ending injury, starting 3 of them. Moreover, there are plenty of teams struggling to find a perfect fit for their own issues, for whom Max Johnson would be a perfect fit. These include some of the top teams across conferences like Clemson Tigers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Notre Dame, etc. Safe to say, Johnson has plenty of options to choose from.
