Originating from Georgia, the highly skilled prospect, Michael Welch, attracted considerable attention, amassing around 20 offers from prominent programs, including West Virginia, Florida, Indiana, Oregon, and Georgia Tech, among others. Standing at an impressive 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 195 pounds, Welch’s outstanding performance on the field earned him noteworthy accolades, including a first-team all-state recognition and the prestigious title of region Player of the Year. Welch confirmed his association with the Colorado team on Monday and professed that the staff and the coaches at the institution felt like “family” to him, from the moment he walked in.
