The Buffaloes have been doing extremely well as far as the recruiting trails are concerned. Colorado has hosted a handful of visitors and has successfully secured three commitments. Four-star defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain was the first to announce his commitment, followed by four-star wide receiver Zycarl Lewis. And the final commitment from a special three-star running back has left the Colorado fans elated.

Hailing from Baldwin High School in Milledgeville, Georgia, Micah Welch is an exceptionally talented running back set to join the Class of 2024 and has committed to play for the Colorado Buffaloes. Welch brings a dynamic skill set to the football field, emphasizing speed, versatility, and precise route running in his gameplay. Colorado fans have been ecstatic over his recruitment and have voiced their support through numerous posts on platform X, formerly Twitter. 

Everyone is looking forward to Welch’s performance and many have voiced it by stating, “Can’t wait to see you shining on that field,” or “Can’t wait Micah! Thanks for committing and staying committing!” While others celebrate his choice of committing to Colorado, “True Buff right here. Exactly the kind of DAWG mentality we need. SkoBuffs.” Others have shown their love and support for both the team and the new player, “Love you Micah!!!!!!” and, “Buff!!!!!Been locked in from the get!!!” Micah Welch’s commitment to Colorado comes after weighing options from other reputable schools. He recently embarked on an official visit to Boulder, solidifying his decision to join the Buffaloes and contribute his exceptional talents to their football program.

Michael Welch feels at home in Colorado 

Originating from Georgia, the highly skilled prospect, Michael Welch, attracted considerable attention, amassing around 20 offers from prominent programs, including West Virginia, Florida, Indiana, Oregon, and Georgia Tech, among others. Standing at an impressive 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 195 pounds, Welch’s outstanding performance on the field earned him noteworthy accolades, including a first-team all-state recognition and the prestigious title of region Player of the Year. Welch confirmed his association with the Colorado team on Monday and professed that the staff and the coaches at the institution felt like “family” to him, from the moment he walked in. For him, the opportunity at Colorado means “everything” to him.
