The Scouting Combine is a dream for all college athletes. It’s a chance to showcase your skills and talents to the top NFL evaluators who could elevate an athlete’s career to great heights. But it seems like Harrison Jr. is too confident in his abilities as he has chosen to not participate in the pre-draft workout.

Ian Rapoport, the insider for the NFL Network, had his views on the Harrison situation. He said that the Buckeyes WR knows that he will be the Draft’s top WR and will opt for a different method than the other prospects by not using an agent nor undergoing testing at the Combine. Moreover, he also claimed that Harrison won’t be practicing drills at Pro Day as well, which is an event for the athletes who don’t complete their workouts at the Combine to showcase their skills at a university campus.

Though there’s a spotlight on Harrison for missing out on the Combine, here’s a look at other athletes who are choosing to sit out the major NFL Draft event.

Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels will both be missing out on the Combine

The excited NFL teams will have to wait a bit longer to watch the last two Heisman Trophy winners perform. The Trojans’ horse Caleb Williams and LSU’s tiger Jayden Daniels will attend the NFL Scouting Combine for interviews and meetings with the interested teams but won’t be participating in drills or workouts.

The only option that scouts will be left with is to witness their favorite draft picks at their respective Pro Day workout sessions. It is highly believed that these top-rated players don’t want to risk suffering an injury before the upcoming NFL Draft and ruin their chances of signing with the best teams in the league. In the case of Williams, the pro day is set to take place on March 20th, whereas Daniels will be on the field on his pro day on March 27.
