It is hardly ever that fans get to see the awkward faces of the players. It was Malik Nabers’ turn this time to pose with an awkward, evasive expression. The reason? Surely his friend, but more importantly, the hours-away draft day. All seemed to be going well for Malik Nabers while live streaming on social media when he was relaxing with his friends.

The moment turned sour when one of his friends brought up Nabers’ point of view of a team from the draft: The New York Giants. More specifically, the QB of the Giants. While Nabers was busy interacting with his fans, a friend of his asked for his view about Justin Herbert. “You can’t say that bro,” Nabers tried to whisper but thanks to the livestream, his fans heard it. Nabers grew flustered with the question, substituting his normal expression with awkward ones, and ending the live stream simultaneously.

Was this only Nabers’ way of avoiding any questions or speculations ahead of the draft day or was it his evasiveness for particularly the Giants? Fans strongly believed in the latter. However, there is still a solid chance that Nabers might end up as the receiver duo of Justin Herbert on the 25th of April.

Who are the Giants eyeing?

General manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll are caught in a bit of a situation. Their choice of going for a QB or a WR in the first round remains a widely discussed topic. Their brief chase of JJ McCarthy showed their undeniable interest in drafting a QB. However, several mock drafts and rumors point toward the Giants eyeing an RB.

If the Giants are to pick a QB, their best possible options would be Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels, since JJ McCarthy is expected to be drafted at either No.2 or No.3. Given the dynamism of the draft, if Maye gets drafted before McCarthy, then McCarthy would also be an option the Giants would not let go.

If they can’t get their hands on either, they would make a move in the RB department, with Michael Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers lining up as the top RB prospects. Following the reaction of Nabers, do you think he would make a good RB pair with QB Justin Herbert? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
