Jayden Daniels is now a certified legend for the LSU Tigers. Not only did he carry the team on his shoulders the entire season but scored heaps of TDs to round up a memorable season. His numbers are legendary- 50 touchdowns with nearly 5,000 yards. He tumbled many records with his stellar season, even outshining another LSU phenomenon- Joe Burrow. The current Bengals QB had won the award back in 2019 with 47 TDs and 4,614 yards to his name.

With such stats, the 2023 Heisman winner is well on course to write his own legacy in the NFL as soon as he gets the chance! Jayden also opened up on how the senior pro-Burrow guided him to make it through to an ultimately successful Heisman campaign.

As Daniels would reveal later, Burrow shared an endearing piece of advice. Daniels said- “You’re going to be doing a lot [on the Heisman weekend], so get your mind prepared,” Burrow himself went through the same process when he was coming through the ranks. Back in 2019, the Bengals shot-caller won the trophy with a record margin that proved the player’s prowess. Just like Burrow who’s now creating records in the NFL, Daniels would too be looking to follow in his mentor’s steps.
