After some grueling few months of competitive football, the final winner for one of the most prestigious NCAA awards has been revealed. The LSU Tigers QB, Jayden Daniels has won the coveted Heisman Trophy. What lies next ahead for the young player? It’s been a great year for the youngster and the elusive title will be a major milestone in a long career ahead!

Jayden Daniels was the lone shining bright light in an otherwise dismal Tigers’ campaign. The youngster single-handedly won them games. He was one of the consistent performers all throughout the season and his results paid dividends.

The news from the center is out and we’ve got our Heisman Trophy winner for the year 2023. The young Turk thronged this season with his impressive numbers. He scored 40 touchdowns while completing nearly 4,000 yards, which is quite mind-boggling! He also accounted for four interceptions as he capped off a brilliant year.

Though Daniels was tied for some other stats with Nix and Penix, he everyone easily beat in yards per attempt. He was by far the nation’s leader in that category as the LSU offense averaged 11.7 yards every time he threw the football. The 89th Heisman Trophy winner was overwhelmed with emotions as he received the award.

The Heisman Trophy is the ultimate prize that the players play for throughout the season. This year there were loads of contenders for the trophy but Jayden Daniels won the award. He was emotional as he received the trophy and shared an inspirational message across. He said- “Being a college athlete and winning this award is a dream come true. I want to dedicate this award to every boy and girl who has a dream. “With faith and hard work, you never know what’s possible.”

Daniels also received 503 votes for the win. He was followed by Michael Penix Jr. from the Huskies. This was a reward for stringing consistent performances and pushing himself every time he stepped on the field. The young athlete played with a positive mindset and exhibited confident body language during the matches.

The fifth-year senior finally got his break after switching sides from Arizona State to LSU in 2022. The 2023 season was all about Daniels, as he also added two more trophies to his cabinet. He won the Walter Camp National Player of the Year award and the Davey O’Brien Award for his achievements.
