Imagine getting inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Deion Sanders presenting him with the gold jacket on stage – the one who he received mentorship from. While sharing the adorable moment on his Instagram story, Devin Huster wrote in the caption, “This moment wouldn’t be perfect without you dawg, I love you, man, 🫶🏼”, and then tagged Deion. In another story he shared about the same event, writing, “thanks @deionsanders, love you dawg”. The shared video was Deion and Hester hugging in the purest form, getting all teary after the huge recognition.

Indeed, the moment was worth all the surrounding hype, the fact that Deion himself has a gold jacket, and now the one whom he has always supported and mentored also got it. The bond that they both have now started when Hester was a college football player at Miami and he met Deion there through Ed Reed. That was the moment when Deion became his advisor in the long run. Hester took up the Hurricane from 2003 to year 2005 and since then he has never looked back. After his brilliant performance in the freshman year, Devin was picked up by the Bears in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. Devin is the only player to return the opening kick of a Super Bowl for a touchdown and not just that he also holds the NFL record for most all-time return touchdowns, which is punt and kickoff combined. With all of those skills and recognitions in the years 2022 and 2023, Devin was a finalist in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But he did not win, to which Deion also commented, “How can Devin Hester not be a Hall of Famer? This is the most idiotic thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Devin Hester changed the darn game.”
