Deion Sanders' heartfelt note to Shilo—Is this the kind of father-son bond we need more of?

Deion Sanders, as a father, has always been supportive of his sons. Even amidst Finebaum’s comments regarding the Buffs, back on 16th July Deion was seen hyping up Shilo for the season. “I’m So Proud Of You Son. @ShiloSanders And you’re DOGG!” he said in his post. Shilo had also shared his excitement for the upcoming games in an interview with Brian Howell. “We definitely have a better chance of winning this year than last year. More guys are hungry to go to the league,” he told Howell. The 2023 season still acts as a reminder for Shilo and his team that they have to get their stuff together and get something done this season.

However, following the aftermath of Finebaum’s jabs, Coach Prime now has realized what this 2024 season will mean for him and his sons. With this season over, the NFL draft will begin and both Shilo Sanders and Shedeur Sanders will be off chasing their dreams in the big league. Deion took to Instagram on July 18th to post something touching. “My Dawg @shilosanders ! I’m not saying “My Dawg” meaning my Patna, My Homie or My Friend. Naw i ‘m his FATHER. That means He’s the 1 that gonna handle whatever needs to be handled. He’s don’t play about Family & He’s looking to bring that Hat & make plays on the field. This is “The Last Call” so u will be seeing me POST my SONS on my PERSONAL PAGE ALOT THIS YEAR.” he captioned his post. This will be the final ride for the proud father and his son.

The team is also ready to face it all this time. Back on July 9th, coach James Chaney from the Buffs shared his view. “Time to get the party started, man. Feeling like a whole new energy here, whole new type of guy. Guys rubbing off on each other, feeling like we a little tighter. I’m looking forward to this undefeated National Championship run,” Chaney said. The team has practiced hard for this season and has made considerable progress. While haters will hate, Deion Sanders can finally take a break and spend some quality time with his boys because Shilo won’t be the only one inevitably leaving after the 2024 season.

What the future holds

Both Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are also all set for the NFL draft. Two of the most wanted players in current college football, there is no doubt that both will be picked up by major teams. Shedeur is already an amazing player on the offense with his solid accuracy and Travis has trembled the ground before with his dual-threat capabilities. While we do not know which teams they might go into, Las Vegas Raiders still stands as a big option.

During the Big 12 Media Day 2 back on 11th July, Deion Sanders was praising Antonio Pierce, HC for the Raiders. “It’s not a mistake that he’s now the head coach of the Raiders. It’s not a mistake that he’s a leader, motivator, knows X’s and O’s, just a good dude. It’s not a mistake that my kids would love to play for him,” Coach Prime said. There’s no doubt that Deion has major faith in AP and his ability to carry his team. If both Shilo and Shedeur end up on Raiders then we all know that the team will get two very gifted players.
