After UCLA lost to Arizona State in a shattering 17-7 defeat, Bruce Feldman discussed the potential firing of Chip Kelly from the franchise on The Rich Eisen Show. The CFB Insider stated that the UCLA head coach has warmed up the hot seat with the last defeat. He said, “For most of Chip’s run there, they really struggled on defense.” But somehow, this season, UCLA is lagging behind in offense while their defense has improved.

Bruce pointed out that UCLA’s offense has been underwhelming as they sit 6-4 saying, “You know, there’s a lot of chatter about frustration with fans at UCLA for a couple of reasons.” He explained that Chip Kelly got off to a super slow start in the first three years, and his notion of recruiting is very different from what a lot of other people think. He went on to say that Chip Kelly might get a chance to save himself if he goes 8-4 in the next two games. But right now, he has a game to coach to save himself as UCLA is heading into the next matchup against the USC Trojans with 6-4.
