Coach Prime isn’t happy with the false narrative the media is trying to sell. The news media can be bizarre, and hate is strong for Coach Prime and the Buffs, as people assume everyone would just swap a Lil Wayne concert to be somewhere else doing something else. As CFBTalkDaily posted, “Deion reportedly made the ‘Prime weekend Lil Wayne concert’ mandatory for his entire team.” This was reportedly done so to “support Shedeur as a rapper.”

The Buffs head coach labeled the report as a lie. Welloffforever posted Deion Sanders’ reaction on IG where he wrote, “This is one of the best lies I’ve heard. God bless u and I pray u sleep well tonight because we are. Lawd JESUS.” Following this, support flowed in through his coach and player.

AthlonSports’ Steve Corder reported per sources, “The Wayne concert was the final straw for a few players who hit the transfer portal” after Coach Prime’s alleged mandatory attendance of the players at Shedeur Sanders’ opener. Even Deion Sanders Jr. shared his disillusioned reaction to the media in a post he wrote on X on June 14.

Deion Sanders Jr. posted how laughable the narrative has turned out to be as he wrote, “Bro this is hilarious. They basically said he forcing people to listen to his son’s mixtapes.” He added, “Dawg this is next level funny.” But as Coach Prime himself has clarified, it’s all a lie. So, all we can do is let the rumor rest in peace.
