In a recent episode of The Coach JB Show With Big Smitty, questions were raised about fairness and equity within the Colorado football program. JB argued that Deion Sanders is only promoting his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, in the program, ignoring other players and their future. Coach Brown asked, “Who else do you see being filmed in Colorado? Who else have you seen on that team that’s on Instagram and social media? What players can you name that have been filmed and tell me that it is not true? Tell one name though and we see two guys on camera, and we see one guy filming them.”

“Let’s be real. You say it is jaw-jacking. I think it is real talk. This is what we’ve been saying for a long time. I am trying to figure out what benefit you do get, and which is the basis of this discussion,” stated JB. Notably, Coach JB’s recent scrutiny of Coach Prime’s favoritism follows the critique from an anonymous podcaster on YouTube.

The podcaster expressed dissatisfaction with Sanders’ coaching approach, claiming that Sanders primarily elevates his sons and the two-way star Travis Hunter. According to the podcaster, other Colorado players and the Colorado coaching staff live in the shadow of Sanders’ family.

The criticism from the podcaster gained momentum as he highlighted concerns about the lack of exposure for players outside of Sanders’ immediate circle. He questioned, “So why am I going to play for you? Because your other son is working for your social media, and he keeps the camera on Travis and his brothers. I haven’t seen anybody else on camera. So why am I going to play? That’s why I say if you can’ sit back and look and see like that’s not a smart move, then what the f**k are we talking about? Groupies don’t think for themselves anymore. Do f**king think for yourselves. That’s not a good business move.”
