Another day, another bold post! It seems that Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders has found a new way of coping with the things going around him. The QB gets into controversy every now and then, but lately, he has stepped foot into a debate surrounding Ole Miss Rebels HC, Jaxson Dart. Instead of supporting him, Shedeur ended up joining the fun. A few days later ESPN dropped its 2025 Mock Draft where the Buffs QB lost his top position to his rival, Carson Beck. But now that Shedeur has come up with a hopeful post, it’s time for the fans to strip him off!

Days after the drama surrounding Dart, Shedeur thought it wise to assure the Buffs fans about his and his program’s talents with which they were moving forward in the SEC title race. Taking to X, the Buffs QB enthusiastically declared, “The legacy already been written”

Over the last month, Dart has gained quite an attention, especially after getting an ovation from the great Eli Manning. But it did not take long for the Rebels’ QB’s hype to be overcast by controversy. It all started on June 30th when The Verdin Verdict came up with a video from the Rebels QB’s practice at the Manning Academy. Out of the blue, Oklahoma DB, Billy Bowman passed a jab at Dart retweeting the video with the caption, “Pick six” to which the QB confidently replied, “Yeah okay buddy we gon see.” By far, the Buffs were out of this until a Colorado fan criticized Dart and re-tweeted his reply, claiming, “This is a leader; he shouldn’t be on the internet responding to people. He should be the bigger person.” Shedeur could not resist and decided to barge in as he dropped a smiling emoji under the fan’s comment on July 1.

But it did not take long for the tables to turn! Also, how could the Buffs haters let go of this opportunity?

Shedeur’s bold declaration meets harsh reality of the fans

The hype surrounding Shedeur got crushed under the burden of the recently released mock draft. Instead of rallying for support, a fan came up with a biting comment relying on the Buffs’ zero-record in SEC championships, “A legacy of zero SEC championships”“4 wins is a legacy now? Standards have changed,” another fan brought to attention the stark reality of how Deion Sanders’ program ended with a disastrous 4-8 record last season.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Shedeur Sanders' confidence crossing the line into narcissism, or is he just being brutally honest?

Have an interesting take?

According to a disappointed fan, the past shortcomings will continue to reign in Shedeur’s future, “A legacy of failures”. “The legacy that Colorado isn’t gonna be good and you won’t win anything?”, a fan questioned the foundation of Sanders’ claim and filled in the blanks with his input. The nepotism remarks paired with Shedeur’s lavish lifestyle and NIL valuation were enough for a fan to comment, “Legacy of narcissism”.

Even though Shedeur’s demotion did act as a catalyst for the fans to express their skepticism about the Buffs QB’s future, there has been another important update. The Big 12 Conference media poll results are here. And forget the Top 5, it picked Colorado to finish 11th out of 16 teams. Will Shedeur still stand by his tweet?
