Sherrone Moore, the offensive coordinator for the Michigan Wolverines, had a lot of praise for the star running back, Blake Corum, after their win against Alabama. The 23-year-old has been the driving force behind Michigan’s massive wins this season and Moore is making sure he is getting his due credit.

The Michigan Wolverines beat the Alabama Crimson Tide to make it to the CFP national championships against the Washington Huskies. It was a close game between the two teams but eventually went in Michigan’s favor when the score came to a halt at 27-20. In this game, Corum exhibited a phenomenal performance, which ultimately played a major role in their victory. And their OC, Sherrone Moore, recognized that with his recent statement about the RB.

During the ongoing interviews ahead of the CFP national championship game, Moore took to the stand to answer a storm of questions and had an honest answer when one of the reporters asked him about the importance of Corum in the squad.

Moore replied by saying, ” I mean for us, we don’t really look at that and I don’t think Blake ever looks at that. I think every team’s always looking at Blake. He is the leading touchdown-maker of Michigan history so there’s always eyes on him. And he just did what Blake Corum does in big moments and I’m just so proud of him and we knew that in that big moment we had to get the ball to him. He’s elite in every way, everything you can think of, so he’s just a phenomenal play.” Thus, it’s evident that Corum is a vital part of the team and will have a lot of expectations on his shoulders when the Wolverines take on the Huskies on January 8. With all that said, here’s a look at the record-breaking numbers created by Corum during the match against Alabama.

Blake Corum broke Michigan’s touchdown record in their Rose Bowl victory.

The senior running back shattered the school’s all-time rushing touchdown record and did it with a lot of style as well. He made the 56th touchdown of his career and won the game for the team by making a 17-yard run.

Moreover, with 25 rushing scores, Corum is leading the nation and is currently ranked second in the Big Ten league. Rutgers’ Kyle Monangai and Corum are the only two players in the league with more than 1,000 yards on the field. And as the game with Washington draws near, maybe Corum might clear the field with yet another performance like that of the Alabama game.
