Days after showing his support for retired college football HC Nick Saban, coach Lane Kiffin has another reason to share his happiness online. The Ole Miss Rebels HC served as the former OC for the USC Trojans football from 2005 to 2006, just before his daughter was born.

When Presley Kiffin was born in 2007, Lane Kiffin, then 32, joined the Oakland Raiders as the then-youngest modern NFL head coach, putting him in the limelight as a capable coach despite being young. The 17-year-old is taking a similar path in Southern California when she joins the women’s volleyball team.

After being a part of Mizuno Long Beach Volleyball, Presley Kiffin has announced her decision to join USC for further athletic and academic pursuits. A proud dad, Lane Kiffin, posted a sweet collage of Presley Kiffin as a gorgeous young lady and as a cute child holding a mic to her mouth with adorable smiles and captioned, “Congrats, Presley!!! We are so proud of you. Time flies.”

The volleyball star recently took to IG and posted a picture of herself with a white hoodie with USC written across it. She captioned, “I am beyond grateful to announce that I will be continuing my athletic and academic career at the University of Southern California. A huge thank you to the USC coaching staff for this amazing opportunity.” Indeed, time flies. Presley Kiffin is one of three children that Lane Kiffin had with Layla Kiffin before their divorce in 2016 after 12 years. She is the middle child with her older sister Landry Kiffin, and her younger brother Knox Kiffin. However, family aside, the 48-year-old also supported Nick Saban.

Lane Kiffin stands up for Nick Saban

Having served as the OC at Alabama under Nick Saban from 2014-16, Lane Kiffin has the utmost respect and support for the 71-year-old who was the Crimson Tides HC for 17 years before his retirement. Recently, Nick Saban delivered his perspective on the changing college football landscape with the introduction of NIL. He told Capitol Hill, “All the things I believed in for all these years, 50 years of coaching, no longer exists in college athletics. So it was always about developing players.”

Saban went on to say that recently, it’s becoming more of how much college athletes could earn rather than how much they could improve and develop. While some people slammed Saban’s perspectives, NFL center Ryan Kelly wrote, “There are thousands of former players for him who are better men/husbands/fathers/(inset career field) because he cared. Be demanded the most on and off the field, guys respected that standard. The college game needs that. Develop boys to men.” Lane Kiffin reposted this and captioned, “Ryan @AlabamaFTBL well said!!” This speaks a ton about his perspective on coaching.
