Deion Sanders has returned to Colorado after his much-needed vacation and has infused energy into spring practice, which is currently in full swing. The CU Buffaloes have undergone a significant overhaul, especially with their offensive line, and are promising a stronger comeback in the upcoming fall season. Excitement among fans is palpable as the highly anticipated Black and Gold Day at Folsom Field approaches later this month, offering fans a glimpse of the team’s on-field progress.

Adding to the excitement, Coach Prime recently introduced a distinctive practice method, “one play each group,” aiming to refine the Buffaloes’ on-field cohesion. However, amid the rigorous practice sessions, a clash erupts among the offensive line players, disrupting the team’s rhythm and momentarily halting proceedings.

In a recent video by Well Off Media, Coach Prime was seen discussing strategy with Defensive Coordinator Robert Livingston and suggested conducting a “One play each group” session. This decision to start the play from the 20-yard line was made after initially considering the 10-yard line.

Addressing his coaching staff, Coach Sanders emphasized, “Hey, we don’t have to score, just got to keep in field goal range,” setting the objective for the drill. However, as soon as the first drill finished, an unexpected heated moment occurred between wide receiver LaJohntay Wester and another player from the offensive line. Thе incidеnt еscalatеd into a hеatеd brawl when Wester started throwing hands at his teammate, prompting thе еntirе tеam to rush onto thе fiеld to intеrvеnе and rеstorе ordеr. Dеspitе thе disruption, Coach Primе quickly took control of thе situation and resumed practice without furthеr disruptions.

Notably, Wеstеr is thе nеwеst addition to thе Buffaloеs’ widе rеcеivеr linеup that includes standouts like Shеppard, Travis Huntеr, Jimmy Horn Jr., and others.

While Wester may not be among the top-ranked transfers in the 2024 class, he has shown considerable potential in Spring Practice which has caught the attention of his coaches and teammates. Described by CU receivers coach Jason Phillips as “extremely quick” and “extremely knowledgeable,” Wester brings a veteran presence to the team. He demonstrates a deep understanding of coverages and has shown explosive playmaking ability, which earned him recognition last season.
