Rob Gronkowski is good for college football, even if he’s not making action happen on the playing field. The former NFL TE is experiencing his first time as a bowl host at the LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk. And his reaction is priceless as the game comes to a halftime with Boise State leading over UCLA. 

The LA Bowl game between Boise State and UCLA is witnessing some interesting twists as the Bruins face the danger of losing to their 8-5 bowl opponent. As the first half of the game comes to a close after two-quarters of action-filled gameplay, Gronk puts on the celebration hat as he hypes the whole stadium with his bubbly personality.

Rob Gronkowski knows how to have a good time and his way of having fun gets everyone involved in the celebration. The LA Bowl has hit its halftime and 8-5 Boise State has taken the lead over UCLA 16-7. And the way the host of the 2023 LA Bowl celebrates the halftime victory is epic!

The retired NFL star let out a short tell of victory as he rocked the scene with his ‘jaguar’ moves. Gronk showed his excitement for the LA Bowl before the game even kicked off. For the first time, he sang the National Anthem at Starco Brands #LABowl Hosted by Gronk. But as the LA Bowl game progressed, Boise State continued to take the lead the way they entered the game. 

Boise State dominated UCLA in the first half of the LA Bowl game

Boise State delivered a great start to the LA Bowl game with Jonah Dalmas kicking two field goals (34-yard and 23 yards) to take the lead to 7-6 in the first quarter. But UCLA Collin Schlee led his team to the first touchdown after a 50-yard run and a backhanded flip to TE Hudson Habermehl for a touchdown. Schlee accounted for 73 yards and a touchdown at halftime.

The LA Bowl game is steering in favor of Boise State who got the edge at halftime due to UCLA’s consistent penalties. The Bruins accounted for 8 penalties for 64 yards before halftime in contrast to Boise State’s zero penalties. The teams entered halftime with Boise State leading over UCLA 16-7.

The suspense remains as the Bruins could lose their bowl title to Boise State if they don’t make up for their losses and penalties in the second half of the game. Fans continue to keep their fingers crossed as the teams prepare to head into the next half for another showdown.
