It stings a little to get benched in the EA Sports CFB 25. Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs program has a firm grip on the most talked-about video game, and the player duo — Jacob Hardie and Terrell Foster — is considering addressing the real issue. The Dawgs dropped them this time, and on The Players’ Lounge podcast, they spilled their sorrows.
Linebacker Foster teamed up with running back Hardie and raised their concerns about being left out. Without Foster and Hardie, the Bulldogs were performing well, thanks to Carson Beck. The quarterback, too, had tied with the Colorado Buffaloes Shedeur Sanders regarding ranking.

While the EA Sports CFB 25 ushered in some real excitement and high spirits for players and fans alike, Smart’s roster fell short of celebration. After all, not everyone is lucky enough to find themselves a spot in the most-talked-about video game. Hence, the left-out player duo, Foster and Hardie, went to expose the program, even though they had no hard feelings and kept it light and mellow. Hardie jokingly said they felt dejected, “We not nice on the game, we’re not in the game…I ain’t going to lie you did it so crazy.” And Foster topped it off with another joke, “I’m scared.”
The RB then pointed out how they became nonexistent, even being on the roster: “Me and him talked about this tearing. You guys created two nonexistent players in the running back and linebacker position.” The linebacker then playfully added how he would have done it for free. Hardie teasingly put out his request, “I would have bought my own copy if you just put me in the game and gave me 94 speed.” However, Smart hardly paid any attention to the recruits; instead counted on Beck, but that too, got hit with a blow.

Beck’s cool response to EA Sports rankings
In July, the EA Sports CFB 25 launched its player rankings. And to everyone’s surprise, the list was headlined by Beck and the Buffs QB. They both came in as 93 OVR, beating Texas QB Quinn Ewers. Even though the Bulldogs’ hopes were dashed to some extent when all Smart and his tribe wanted was to see their QB soar high, hardly did it cause any impact on Beck.

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders lost his mind on Shedeur sharing the same rank with Beck as he claimed, “How’s there a tie? … That’s like, do you hate so bad that you’ve got to give them a tie?… We ain’t accepting no tie.” And here came Beck’s stellar reply: “It’s a video game. Rate me what you want. I am just going to go do the real thing in real life. I’m not too worried about video games.”
That being said, Smart’s recruits know well how Beck’s chill attitude would help them keep the Georgia boat afloat even in the EA Sports CFB 25 scenario. Now that the Georgia quarterback focuses on real life rather than the virtual world, will that give him an edge in the Heisman race, ending the long drought in Smart’s tribe? Do share your thoughts!
