Head coach Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are winning like a boss in a big game beyond just football it seems. Smart, other than showing light to the players, embodies a spirit of philanthropy. The Georgia HC, in collaboration with his wife Mary Beth, has started a compassionate endeavor called the Kirby Smart Family Foundation.
And amidst the legal woes involving the players, finally, the day has come that Smart could celebrate something beyond football. The organization has pulled in a $2 million donation. And he is not the only one who has committed himself to charitable endeavors. Smart has also inspired Georgia players who earlier donated $40,000 for a good cause.

The charitable endeavor has been the brainchild of the Smart couple who raise awareness and resources for different organizations across the state of Georgia as well as the Southeast. The Georgia HC and his wife have put out their hard work in hosting luncheons, golf tournaments, and other events that benefit the big cause. And guess what? Their efforts are finally paying off! They have now hit $2 million as far as grants are concerned. As tweeted by Jeff Dantzler, “Bravo & kudos to the Kirby Smart Family Foundation, topping the $2 Million mark in donations and contributions. This afternoon the KSFF celebrated with its annual Giving Day, a great cause for joy, hope & altruism.”

Their true intentions have also succeeded in a bigger landscape. The Kirby Smart Family Foundation has now joined the top 2000 NGOs in Georgia based on the donations accumulated. This is their way of paying back to Georgia as Mary once confessed, “Kirby and I have been so blessed. The University of Georgia has blessed us so much so we’re just thankful to have this opportunity to give back.” But what’s a true leader if he hasn’t guided his players positively? The Bulldogs roster has taken notes from HC Smart.

Back in May this year, a bunch of Georgia Bulldogs players had hit the ground with a big cause. They extended their helping hands to support the Georgia Teachers initiative in collaboration with the College Football Playoff Foundation. The endeavor revolved around uplifting the education system in and around the campus in Athens.

To name a few of the Bulldogs, safety Malaki Starks, linebacker Jalon Walker, running back Trevor Etienne, and wide receiver Arian Smith made proper use of the charitable opportunity and collected a total of $40,000 for the cause. And that’s not the end! Last month when the temperature in Georgia struck 99 degrees the Bulldogs were out there in the golf course trying their hand in the sport. If you think it was their way of recreation, then you must be mistaken.
The event saw a landfall of 55 current and former Georgia football players who took part in the Bulldogs Battling Breast Cancer charity where Smart’s star QB Carson Beck was spotted hitting the holes for a cause that raised $2 million. The amount was then handed over to St. Mary’s hospital to help the women in need in the Athens area.
