Kirby Smart has revealed the names of some strong freshmen Georgia Bulldogs who will be hard to keep on the bench for long. While some have been around for a while, others have only joined in the summer. These lads are turning heads with speed, power, explosiveness, and agility.

With some names that could be useful for fall, Smart would look to finish a winner this time after narrowly missing a spot on the CFP championship and the Super Bowl. Here are some names to watch out for:

Nate Fraiser: A combination of power and speed

The running back brings his power and speed combination to the table. He has shown his ability to score from anywhere on the field. Frasier, one of the country’s top running backs, will be hard to ignore in the coming days. Blessed with elusiveness, he ticks all the boxes, so he would be tough to keep on the bench for long.

Marcus Harrison: The lie-low underdog

The OT three-star recruit has been an exciting player for various reasons. He is 6′ 8″ and 330 lbs, which leaves one wondering how Kirby Smart found him. He brings another massive frame to the offensive line room and can play multiple positions across the line. Offensive guard or right tackle is where Harrison likely projects at the next level.

Sacovie White: Making cuts with speed

White, a wide receiver from Cass High School, North Georgia, has great hands, explosiveness, and body control. He might not be able to see the field initially, but Kirby Smart has asserted at the SEC that the team could benefit from him, and the dawgs needed to get their hands on him.

Jaden Reddell: The strong hands in the team

Reddell made several catches in the spring game. He has big, powerful hands and can run at incredible speeds. There are three tight ends ahead of him, but this kid plays like a receiver and can be a weapon in the passing game. Even if he is not on the field too much this year, will surely enjoy field time in the next few years.

KJ Bolden: Speed, size, and explosiveness

KJ is a phenomenal young player, as assessed by Kirby Smart last week. He has improved already over spring. He has made news with his speed, size, and explosiveness. He knows how to be on top and is everything one looks for in their strong defense.

Ellis Robinson IV: The five-star guy

He is coming into the Bulldogs with some valuable experience in man and zone coverage. He will push the cornerbacks. He might not be starting to look at the much-experienced guys ahead of him, but he is not sitting on that bench long. When given a chance, he can show all he’s got. Projects as a potential CB1 for a College Football Playoff regular that can shut down one side of the field. He will also be potentially in the NFL draft on Day 1.

Daniel Calhoun: The beast

The 330-lb player’s power has impacted his ability to take down potential tacklers. He stands over 6 feet, helping him cover about 7 feet. Since coming to Athens, he has spent a lot of time training at the gym and working to shed pounds.

Joseph Jonah: The underrated dawg

He is a top defensive line recruit with a wide frame and stands 6 feet 4 inches. He has been garnering attention already, delivering more than expected from someone of his frame. He projects as a high-major prospect who could become an impact player with a long-term ceiling in the early rounds of the NFL draft.

Jordan Thomas: Early-round NFL draft potential

Thomas takes on blocks and can stack them and shed them to locate the running back. He possesses the strength needed to play early in college. He can use his hands well to keep the offense off of him or, if caught, has the skills to disengage quickly. He plays low and has an 80-inch wingspan. This dawg has a 10-yard get-off of less than two seconds.

Nazir Johnson: Beefing up the defense

At 6-foot-5 and over 300 lbs, Johnson is another player with a big body frame who can generate power through the hips. His track and field number for a vertical jump is 30 inches, an impressive figure. He has a wide frame, but his major power lies in his hands. He has some violent block-shedding, as seen in his season highlight tape.

Fall is around the corner, and with a roster of freshmen looking so strong, Kirby Smart will be eyeing the championship. Is there anyone out there you’ve got your eyes on but we may have missed? Which dawg have you got your eyes on?
