As the nation awaits the decision of Julian Lewis, the analysts are chipping in the last of their tries to convince the five-star prospect to flip to Colorado. Throughout the months, Deion Sanders and Co. have gone above and beyond to convince Lewis that they’ll be the perfect fit for him, with their latest and mightiest one being hosting Lewis for an official visit from June 21–23. Before this visit, Lewis was already ‘pretty locked in’ with USC before he visited Boulder. After his Colorado visit, Lewis is yet to pass his verdict. Almost as a final attempt to convince him to flip to Colorado, Keyshawn Johnson has advice for him.

Explaining to Lewis why USC would not be a perfect fit for him, Johnson said on Undisputed earlier this year that “he is coming from a system that hasn’t produced any QB of any significance in the NFL.” The first argument would naturally be Caleb Williams, the No. 1 pick of the 2024 NFL draft.

Addressing that, the ‘Undisputed’ host iterated, “Caleb Williams is a really talented football player. But when you look at some things, you go like, ‘I can’t live with that’.” Those things, per Johnson, are 70% of things off schedule.

The reason that Caleb Williams became a top QB was because he fit a certain “skill set,” like Jayden Daniels, JJ McCarthy, and the other top QBs of the 2024 draft class. This is why Johnson believes that Caleb Williams comes from a system that “hasn’t produced any QB of any significance in the NFL.”

T.C. Lewis, the father of Julian Lewis, affirmed to the Southern California News Group that Lincoln Riley is the reason for JuJu committing to USC. Per this, Lewis has another reason to choose Colorado before it’s too late.

Why Julian Lewis should flip to Colorado?

Well, the main motivation of JuJu was to play under the guidance of coach Riley. However, per Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the USC coach is in talks of exploring the possibility of working with Jerry Jones’ Cowboys. The team did decent last season with a 12-5 score under Mike McCarthy’s guidance. However, the Cowboys are hardly the team to perform just ‘decent’.

We’re talking about one of the top franchises in the pro league, people. As vague as it may look, there is still a chance that Jerry Jones is considering replacing Mike McCarthy. If that happens, Lewis would be stranded at USC. Just another reason for Julian Lewis to flip to Colorado, among the several others that Colorado has already pointed out to him.
