Alabama Crimson Tide still has that charm. The only difference is the head coach. The rumors were there that DeBoer’s first official visit weekend would end up being a big flop since the wound of Nick Saban’s retirement was still fresh. In actuality, the rumor ended up being a big flop as recruits flocked to Tuscaloosa this weekend for their official visit. In just 24 hours from the starting of the official visit, major updates of several players are already rolling in. And with that, Kalen DeBoer officially shattered every reservation the Crimson Tide fans had built post-Saban’s retirement.
Players flocked X, confirming their visit to Alabama for the official visits. Top talents across the nation are still counting on Alabama. Per Tim Watts, the owner of the Bama on Line website, Kalen DeBoer and Co. have landed two commitments after each official visitor weekend. The list accompanying it stated the top players that Alabama could be potentially aiming at.

OT Jackson Lloyd, RB Akylin Dear, Edge Justin Hill, WR Travis Smith, OT Malachi Goodman, and more, all of which are four-star athletes, would be expected to pass a verdict on Alabama. With the number of players flocking in, Kalen DeBoer might as well cross the record of having 2 commits after the official weekend and end up having more because the list is not limited to only these. Several other prospects have taken to their social media to enthusiastically share updates of their attending the official weekend visit at Tuscaloosa from 15 June.
Kalen DeBoer hits the jackpot as recruits are excited
Touted TE Jackson Vaughan, who has also professionally played basketball and baseball, is one, as he confirmed with his tweet, “I’m looking forward to being at the University of Alabama and competing tomorrow. Thanks for the invite!” Kaiden James from the class of 2027 shared the same excitement, tweeting, “I will be at @AlabamaFTBL tomorrow for camp, can’t wait!”

On the other hand, Hudson Parliament, the 2026 class DT, recalled his unofficial visit with Kalen DeBoer. Parliament looks like a prospect who is seriously interested in joining Kalen DeBoer and Co. since he wrote, “Now let’s get to work at camp tomorrow !!” on his X. QB Weston Neilson and Braylen Bradford echoed some similar emotions in their tweets, highlighting their eagerness to be at the camp.
However, the 2026 DL four-star prospect, Vodney Cleveland, and the 2026 four-star RB prospect, Jaylen McGill, shared their excitement by posting a clip of Kalen DeBoer climbing down the stairs of an aircraft. With all this love that DeBoer is getting, his bagging some fine players this season through the official visits would be a sure shot.
