The swirling doubts that have enveloped Kalen DeBoer will soon be coming to rest since his recruitment skills just seem to be getting better and better. The crown that Saban left behind in the wake of his retirement weighs heavy on the shoulders of DeBoer, who is being termed as a bad recruiter by the fans and yet, he keeps surpassing the hate with new and improved additions to the team.

Kalen DeBoer, the HC for the Alabama Crimson Tide, has been doing really well in the 2024 transfer portal. The recent additions that he’s made to the team are the likes of OL Kadyn Proctor, OL Geno VanDeMark, DB Kameron Howard, DB King Mack, and DB DaShawn Jones. Now, DeBoer has made even bigger strides by attempting to bring in a TE from Detroit to Alabama.

As per Justin Smith’s tweet from 11th June, Anthony Cartwright, the new potential TE in the Alabama program, had a lot of positive words to say about the offer that was made by Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama team. Moreover, DeBoer once said, “The tight end is a really important part of our offense. Always has been, always will be,” which just goes to show how vital the recruitment of Cartwright would be if in case he decides to come to Alabama.

The young TE praised the Alabama program and its way of functioning while he was on his visit. He said, “Alabama has always been known as a top program in college football. I really liked seeing all of the awards that they have achieved, and the way that things were set up and how they operated things around the building.” It is obviously not a surprise that Cartwright is drawn to the team because of their immense glory since the Crimson Tide is one of the most dominating teams in the NCAA. With all that said, here’s what Desmond Green, the three-star OL had to say about Alabama after being offered a scholarship from them.

Green is a promising junior who studies at Timberland High School in South Carolina. Though he’s touted to be a 3-star player, he already has 14 offers in front of him, including one from the Alabama Crimson Tide. DeBoer was impressed with Green’s performance on the field and offered him a scholarship, which is sure to be a massive incentive for the youngster.

As per Green, he talked about how he was excited to see Alabama grow under DeBoer and said, “Alabama is still Alabama. I know they have a great history and great academics. I am excited to see how this upcoming season goes for DeBoer and Kapilovic.” Thus, as far as DeBoer’s recruitment skills are concerned, he seems to be bringing in players in a frenzy and though the fans have their doubts, the addition of the newest players and their contribution to the team’s overall performance will surely be evidence enough in the upcoming season.
